    TYPES OF SHOOTS

We like to make it easy

    1

    In-Studio

By choosing a studio session you avoid all the elements and avoid bad weather, allowing for a comfortable and perfect environment for you and your belly baby.

    2

    Outdoors

We have several locations that we use to capture beautiful outdoor maternity pictures. When the weather and light cooperate, outdoor sessions are magical!

    3

    In-Home

A maternity photo session captures that fleeting time just before baby arrives. It celebrates your family in that beautiful stage of anticipation, waiting, excitement.

I live in the Antelope Valley and was a little concerned about finding a photographer, I found Rob and he made it simple. I told him I’d love to shoot on a beach with my husband and son and as soon as we booked he sent me the location he was thinking and I was blown away. I made a mood board on Pinterest of photos I liked and that was about it, now I have great photos forever!”

I love where I live so I wanted a photographer that would come to a spot my husband and I like to spend time, sure enough, we found Rob and he was excited to come out and he even had a jeep capable of getting us to some really great spots we otherwise would have had to skip or hike too.”

I’m a first-time mom and I’ll tell you nothing is easy about this process. But the day we shot with Rob will always reverberate in my mind as a great day. My husband and I had an amazing experience together laughing and getting our pictures taken. It’s more than just photos your getting, that’s for sure.”

    Maternity Shoot FAQs

Your best bet is to book your maternity session somewhere around 20 weeks, around when you find out the sex of your baby. The best time to take your photos is in your third trimester, between 28 and 32 weeks. At this point, your bump will be showing well and look great in photos, and you will still be able to move around and pose comfortably.

Our gear includes professional-grade, Canon bodies, Sony Bodies, a variety of Pro & Cinema lenses + external lighting equipment by Aputure, Godox, Nanlite & More.

We don’t charge extra for things like drone shots, if your location can accommodate them & we feel it’s best for the film and if we have time, we will definitely do it. But sometimes it’s just not called for or applicable so we don’t want to charge you and have to give you bad news the day of. Whatever package you go far you’re going to get stunning shots. We utilize techniques like shooting in high frame rates and we use tools like drones, gimbals, sliders, dollys, and more to make sure our shots are smooth and beautiful.

*tip don’t book within 5 miles of an airport or public area.

We love printed goods! We offer prints produced through our own lab and have partnered with both VideoBox and Album Craftsmen to deliver your memories in the most elegant way possible.

All weddings & lifestyle sessions are delivered through an online gallery for easy viewing, sharing, and downloading. lifestyle sessions take about 2 weeks to be processed and weddings can take up to 3 weeks.

Whether you want to keep it casual with jeans or wear a flowing maternity dress, or even both, the most important thing is that they fit and look the way you want them to look. You should also pick out clothing for any other family members who will be part of the session to make sure theirs don’t clash with your own.

If you really want to look your best, a professional makeup artist is the way to go. A pro will know how to do your makeup so it shows best in photos. If you decide to do your makeup yourself, you want to go a little bolder with your makeup than you normally would make sure your eyes and lips are well-defined in your images.

Once you book your session we have a checklist for you to go through in preparation for your shoot. So even if it’s your first time we can guide you through the process of getting your best results.
